Notified that I have been recommended for admission by the department and the graduate college will now review my application for final admission. Have a good GPA but some blips on my grad record. Made up for it with strong thesis and first-authored publication of it. Finally applied again after 4 years and not being successful the first time round. Am a first gen college attendee from a working class background in home country. For those out there, keep going and don't give up!
