Got a 24-hour timed mini-assignment from my POI on 1/4. I thought I got in the shortlist. But after I finished it, POI said she hasn't even got the access to application packages. I was so confused. At least she provided some timeline. Here is from her email: "Our graduate admission committee will start their review around mid-Jan, after which I will have access to your application package. I will evaluate your package along with the mini-assignment. Around mid-late Feb, the shortlisted applicants will be invited to visit UM (for domestic students) or to a Skype meeting (for international students). Due to a large number of applicants we have every year, only shortlisted applicants will be informed. "
