- I applied for their PhD in Computer Science (Quantum Information) program. I was getting anxious as I had to respond to another PhD offer by April 15th. So, I mailed my POI and he responded telling me that he was willing to supervise me as masters student but not as a PhD student. At UWaterloo, a faculty member must commit to supervising a student before they can be accepted.
