For anyone still waiting to hear from UCI, I emailed them yesterday. They were nice as usual. Here's what they said, "First-round admission and financial support offers for sociology candidates were formally announced early last month. It's not clear at the moment whether or when there will be second-round offers this year--how many, and to whom-- or exactly when decisions will be announced for applicants who are not being offered admission. Typically that doesn't happen until mid- to late-March, in the next week or two. Although the Fall 2018 admission process is not yet complete, it is drawing to a close, and you should receive a decision from us before the end of the month."
