Received email around 2 pm cst, "Every year our Graduate Committee reviews many more applications than we have places in the program and, as a result, we must decline admission to most applicants. Because the graduate program in History at Rice is small, we must take into careful consideration the interests of each applicant and our faculty. This issue of fit is extremely important in our deliberation." not too upset with result bc I already got a fantastic offer- good luck everyone else!!
