Applied to do research in an area of data mining. Relevant research experience over the past year and a half yielding two mid-tier conference publications and a workshop publication. Research experience in another area for a summer while at uni. One international internship. Degree from a university from a country most people don't know. Rather disheartened :(. Nonetheless, congrats to all of those who were successful :)
