I send an email to inquire about my application status (because it had passed the time they said they would reply and I needed to put a deposit down for other schools). I received a rude and almost mechanical email the same day explaining that there is no window that they give out acceptance. I got denied the next day. If a school is receiving thousands of dollars in application fees alone a little courtesy may be in order.
