To the comment below: The POI emailed to say that the committee was impressed with the interview, and I fit well with the lab, so I have been accepted to the program and should receive an official letter in a few weeks. I was also asked to confirm that I would be ok doing an MA before a PhD, because the structure of the program has changed so that now you need to do an MA first. I can only assume that the committee has already met. Best of luck!
