I was the person interviewed on 3/5 and just recently accepted. I did not contact them in the interim except to send a thank you email for inviting me to the interview. Personally, I think calling and asking is fine especially if it could demonstrate your interest in the program. I was going to do so if I didn't hear by next week as I had other schools to respond to as well. Good luck!
