Note

To the poster about the wait list below: I was given totally contradictory information in a phone discussion with the director of physics graduate studies. He said that they admitted 63 and wait listed exactly 5, and all 5 wait listed students will be admitted as long as they get their expected yield (~50%) from the students they've admitted already (i.e. it's likely that the 5 wait listed students will be admitted). He also said that decisions are totally finished at this point.
