4.0 in related M.S., 3.8 in prerequisite classes. E-mailed the program three times in three months, finally heard back today: "Unfortunately we were not able to secure a mentor/advisor for you for the Fall 2013 semester. I know this has been a lengthy process, but the competition was very keen and faculty are being very selective on who they will accept." This makes 0 for 4. I am probably leaving the field altogether.
