The message was: "The MIT Sloan PhD Program faculty have completed their review of your application for September 2008, and regrettably conclude that we cannot offer you a place in the program. Our doctoral program is small, and with an exceptionally high number of applicants this year, we fell far short of admitting all qualified candidates. Thank you for your interest in the MIT Sloan School of Management PhD Program. We wish you success in your academic pursuits." Oh well!
