4.0 gpa in Epidemiology, 4 years basic science research, 2 years of infectious disease surveillance experience, 4 pubs, (1 first author), one pub in review. It is obvious to me that this program does not value public health experience at all. They care entirely where you went to school and whose lab you worked in. So, if you went to a prestigious school and you washed dishes in a lab for 6 months and got a good letter of rec, this is where you should apply.
