Note

I e-mailed the dept. yesterday asking about the status of my app (I was told at my interview I'd be notified before March 5th), and got an e-mail back today saying I wasn't a good fit for the department. Why did they even fly me out for an interview, then? Sigh. My dreams of going to an Ivy League school for a Ph.D. now dashed twice over (was also rejected by Cornell last month).
