Computer Science, Columbia University Dual BS Degrees in Electrical Engineering (honors program) and Mechanical Engineering. Several years of TA experience and extracurriculars. 3 years SWE experience post undergrad. Took a few classes in the Georgia Tech OMSCS program before applying. Rejected from the MSCS program after applying before the priority deadline. Opted to be considered for the Bridge if not admitted for the MSCS. Rejected read as follows: After careful evaluation of your application to the Computer Science Master of Science program for the Fall 2024 term, the Committee on Admissions at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science regrets to inform you that your application has not been approved. You will not be considered for any additional degree programs for the Fall 2024 term. I am curious about the "You will not be considered for any additional degree programs for the Fall 2024 term" though. Is it normal to have that in the rejection letter? I wonder if my application was disqualified because some of my rec letters or my video interview were submitted a little late.

Computer Science, Stanford University International student, four internships at Big Techs, one year of work experience, two weak publications, 2 of those Big Tech internships were on research teams, a recommendation letter from Stanford Ph.D. (previous manager), a strong recommendation from a professor at Uni and a previous manager at Big tech. Idk, I am kind of disappointed I didn't get in. I know it is highly competitive and stuff, but I prepared so hard for this. I have a great resume, but I come from a very bad university in Latin America if you compare to any other of those US universities. Not sure if this may have had anything to do with it (maybe I had a bad application and just did not realize hahaha), but I wish I could know what they took into account in their decision. Well, congrats to those who were accepted; you should be really proud of yourself. I hope you guys enjoy your time at Stanford!

Computer Science, Stanford University 2 years of work experience in a AI/Gen AI team at a big tech company. No publications, 2 non provisional US patents. Recommendations: stanford PhD and IIT D professor, VP of AI at the company, another work rec. Congrats to everyone else who got in!

Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University My profile is as follows:- Academics:-- B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from an old IIT- GPA: 9.02/10 (with full grades in Networks, ML, DSA, DBMS)- Minor in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Experience:-- SDE internship experience at a top Silicon Valley data backup and cybersecurity startup (in their India office) for three months (got a PPO offer for full-time)- Research intern at CMU (remotely) for the past one and a half years (working on Video-based Deep learning)- 1 paper draft from the above experience (will be submitted to A* conference later this year)- Research Intern at UNSW Sydney for three months (graph theory and bioinformatics, no paper)- Ongoing Bachelors Thesis in the field of Hardware Security and Networks (will have a draft by the time of applications) Projects:-- Multiple course projects on OS, Networks, VR, Compilers, Sensors- Two good quality projects from Inter-IIT Tech meet participation (Silver medal in one of them)- A couple of projects from hackathons (one by Flipkart and one institute-level where we won first prize) Extracurriculars:-- Was the Secretary of the Coding Club of my institute- Inter-IIT Quizzing GRE:-- 331 (161 V, 170 Q) TOEFL:- 119

Computer Science, Stanford University 3.4 Undergrad GPA | 2 YOE TECH (SWE @ FAANG) | Got an email saying that my status has changed in my Stanford Portal (This was probably the dead giveaway that I was rejected). I checked the update and they gave their generic rejection letter statement. Gratz to all who were accepted!

Computer Science (MCS), North Carolina State University B.tech (ECE) from a Tier-2 college. Professional Experience in Data migration role (2 years). Not sure why I was not considered! Didn't expect this at all!!
