  • To those waiting on Iowa: beware. I live in town and am close with some of the business profs. They have been losing profs and tinkering with the program, which isn't great. Now there are rumblings that the PhD program will cease to exist within the next couple years. Love Iowa but everyone close to the program urging me to choose another option.

  • To the Iowa posters below, she literally said "We can only refund the UI application fee." I got pissed off as well. This isn't right....They should've known this would come. How could they just withdraw all applications and not think about time + other costs we spent for the application? I even thought of emailing ETS but I don't think they will refund......

  • I talked to the person emailed us today and asked her if they are refunding TOEFL/GRE score report fees and they said no. This is so irritating. Anything we can do to get our money back..?

  • To the post below: Have not received any email indicating they would not admit any PhD students this year. Not saying I don't believe you, but it is quite irresponsible for "ECONOMICS" department not being able to estimate funding availability for following year. Interesting.

  • During the 2018-2019 academic year, we are reviewing our curriculum to build the best program possible for our existing and future students. Therefore, we have decided not to admit anyone to an entering class of 2018. We are in the process of refunding your application fee. Please allow 2-4 weeks to see the refund posted to your account. Weird.
