Have ms degree

Ignore the status. Does anyone receive any result recently?

Nuclear / High Energy (Experimental). Bachelor's in Physics at Univ. of Washington, 1.5 years in a scientific position at a Department of Energy National Laboratory. No Publication. 6 years of independent research that involves a lot of hands-on work. Both rejections on the same day - hit hard. But lessons learned - I am not qualified yet nor ready yet. This will remind me to work harder. Thank you gradcafe and I wish you the best in your journey!

I just declined the offers from them (To be precise, I withdrew myself from the waiting list for Harvard). Good luck!

They send a good email. They end with this line - "Your record and qualifications are very good, and we have no doubt of your ability to earn an advanced degree and that you will have a successful career. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors." In any case, it is highly disappointing to receive rejections. Good Luck, all!

I hate them being nice and saying "you are very good!" to everyone! That has ZERO information in it and therefore rude!

TTPB: I applied to Harvard, Caltech, and Princeton for hep-th or equivalent, and I too have not received anything from them. At least for the people who said they were contacted by these universities and posted their subfields, it seems most of them are experimental, or astrophysics. Let's hope for the best.

I have 8 publications and work experience but I think this wasn't enough. I'm a civil engineer so I think this was quite a stretch anyways...

To poster below, the dates change every year. Caltech probably finished their first rounds but haven't sent out rejections yet, but probably soon.
