got an email my portal had been updated

Seems to be a crowded year for this program. Hope I could get in. (Thankfully I already got an offer from top school) (3a/1r/1w/3p)

I contacted the P.I. that I wrote in the SoP and told me that the pool of applicants was extremely large and competitive.

Notified to interview around 01/15; Email from professor in option about acceptance 01/31; open house beginning of March Did GRE last minute purely for application so glad that my poor scores did not matter; research and academic background still appear to be most important factors

No interview, no GRE, no publications. Email to check status. I've met the PIs and their groups before at past conferences.

Are there people here, who applied to Earth Sciences/Geology/Planetary Sciences/Geophysics PhD programs in USA? If yes, let's make a forum to discuss about the decision and the profiles. Also, is there anyone who has heard anything from WUSTL/WashU? Their deadline was December 1.

I am seeking a post-doctoral education position at American universities.

Had interviewed with PI and other members of the group. Results were so late so I emailed PI when I might hear and was told they took someone else.
