Email from faculty member, official acceptance letter to come. PhD Music Composition and Theory

Received an email at 6:00am to check the website. No phone interview and had not heard of any decision before the usual deadline of acceptance so I assumed. Reason given was because there is no available room left in my program for this academic year.

Has anyone heard any admission status from music yet? I know most acceptances generally happen around January-February, but haven't gotten anything yet. Emailed admissions and no response. Thanks!

This has been quite a roller coaster journey for me to get admission with a prestigious fellowship. I had to reach out to professors, go through an interview, and also submit a research proposal, along with filling out all the essays. I applied to 9 schools, was accepted to 5, and chose UC Davis because of its excellent research facilities. I hope it will be a great journey for me.

2 professor development happened last week of May, one said he has no funding, so discussed thesis-based master's option, the other took his sweet time to schedule a call and finally got on a call on June 10th, stating his interest to hire me as a PhD student in his lab and offering TA. He gave me a task to write a summary on one of his projects, while working on it, on the same day, i received a reject. I have filed for appeal. Please suggest what more I can do.
